I’m delighted to share one of my favorite recipes with you! I have to be honest with you, I haven’t always liked hummus. I tried certain store brands and did not enjoy them. I’m the type of person who thinks homemade is always better! So….I included lots of garlic, fresh squeezed lemon juice and cumin! The end result is simply DELICIOUS!! Seriously, I can’t get enough of this stuff. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
— 2 cups drained low sodium chickpeas, chickpeas
— 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
— 3 cloves fresh garlic, peeled
— Juice of one lemon
— 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
— 1/2 tsp. sea salt
— Kalamata olives
Put everything in a food processor and blend well. Add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil on top. Garnish with olives.
